An example d3.js visualization of soccer player data. This shows the passes, shots, ball recoveries and take-ons of Wayne Rooney of Manchester United vs Crystal Palace on 30th August 2015. I still think I need to improve the pitch dimensions slightly (make it shorter and make center circle bigger). The potential for creating soccer event maps is there though. It will be relatively trivial to add filters to the event data and to add other players in other matches.
